Ingredients

500g  Chicken thighs bone in, skin on
2  Teaspoons  Afia Sunflower oil
1  Teaspoons Afia Shawarma spices
1  Teaspoons  Afia Coriander powder
1  Teaspoons  Onion powder
1 Teaspoons Garlic powder
1 Teaspoons  Salt
1/2 Teaspoons  Black pepper

Gravy:
4 Tablespoons  Flour
1 1/2 cups Chicken broth
1/2  Teaspoons Black pepper

How to prepare

  • In a small bowl combine all seasoning spices and oil. Rub the chicken with seasoning, on a hot skillet sear chicken on both sides until golden and crispy and set aside.
  • For gravy in the same pan whisk flour with about 1/2 cup of broth until lump free, then whisk in remaining stock and pepper, arrange chicken back in the skillet.
  • Cover and cook on low heat for 40 minutes, or until chicken is fully cooked.
  • Remove chicken onto a plate, then give the gravy a good whisk to make it smooth.
  • Serve it over mashed potato, pour gravy and top and serve.
