Ingredients

1 Cup Afia Plus Oil
280 Gram Onion, Chopped
2 Teaspoons Afia Garlic Powder
600 Gram Frozen Spinach, Thawed And Strained
1 Teaspoons Salt
1 Teaspoons Nutmeg
1 Teaspoons Lemon Zest
1 Egg
2 Tablespoons Parsley, Chopped
2 Tablespoons Scallions, Chopped
150 Gram Feta Cheese
50 Mili Litre Afia Corn Oil Plus, To Brush
1 Pack Phyllo Pastry Sheet, Thawed Sesame For Garnish Black Seeds For Garnish

How to prepare

  • In a medium pan, heat oil on low heat, add the onion and cook until wilted. Add spinach, scallions, parsley and cook until wilted and water drained. Season and sit aside in a strainer and let it cool.
  • In a separate bowl add feta, eggs and lemon zest and mix until well. Add cooled drained spinach to the cheese mix and mix well till incorporated.
  • Start assembling by layering 5 layers of phyllo and brushing oil between each layer then slice them then start folding it to form a triangle shape.
  • Put on a baking tray then brush with oil and sprinkle with sesame and black seeds. Bake in a preheated oven at 180c for 15 minutes. Once its golden brown serve immediately.
