Ingredients

½ cup Afia Red Lentil
¼ cup Burgle
28g short grain Rice
1/2 Tablespoons Butter
1 Tablespoons Tomato paste
1/2 Tablespoons Flour
1/2 Teaspoons red Bell Pepper paste
1 small Onion, chopped
2 Garlic cloves, minced
½ Tablespoons dried Mint
1 Tablespoons Afia pure corn oil
1 Teaspoons Salt
½ Teaspoons Black pepper
½ Teaspoons Afia Turmeric powder
½ Teaspoons Afia Paprika

How to prepare

  • In a large pot heat oil and cook onions until wilted and cooked, add garlic with rice, lentil and burgle, add salt and mix until well combined for 3 minutes.
  • Add 1 liter of boiling water and let it cook on medium low heat.
  • In a separate saucepan, melt butter then add flour and keep mixing to get a creamy texture. Add the tomato sauce and bell pepper paste and mix.
  • Add 3 tbsp of water just to loosen it up and make creamy paste. season with spices and salt.
  • Add the tomato sauce to the lentil mix after its cooked, mix and let it simmer for 5 minutes on low medium heat and serve.
