1 Cup Pure Maple Syrup
1 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream
1 Teaspoons Salt
1 Cup Flour
1 Teaspoons Baking Powder
1 Teaspoons Salt
1 Cup Afia Plus Oil
1 Cup Sugar
2 Eggs
1 Cup Milk
1 Teaspoons Vanilla Extract Vanilla Ice Cream On Top

How to prepare

  • Preheat oven to 200°C. Grease a 23cm square baking dish with oil.
  • For the sauce, in a saucepan, whisk together the maple syrup and heavy cream. Bring to the boil, whisking occasionally. Turn off the heat and pour the sauce into the prepared cake tray.
  • For the cake, in a bowl mix flour, baking powder and salt. In a separate bowl beat oil and sugar until well combined. Add the eggs one by one, beating well after each one, add the milk and vanilla and beat. add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and whisk until well combined.
  • Layer the cake mix over the hot sauce. Put on a baking tray to prevent spiling outside the baking dish. Bake for about 45 minutes, or until golden brown and the sauce begins to bubble. Serve it with vanilla ice cream.
