Ingredients

1 cup Afia Red Lentil
2 cups water
1 piece lemon (juice)
0.5 cup tahini
1 clove garlic
1 Teaspoons Afia Natural Sea Salt

garnish:
0.5 Teaspoons Afia Paprika
1 Tablespoons Afia Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 Tablespoons cucumber (diced)
1 Tablespoons cherry tomato (diced)
1 Tablespoons pickles (diced)
0.5 Teaspoons Afia Cumin Powder

How to prepare

  • first in a sieve Rinse the lentils under cold water to remove any dirt.
  • in a small pot Bring water to a boil. Add the lentils, reduce to a simmer, and cook for 10 minutes until soft and almost paste-like.
  • Drain and rinse the cooked lentils with cold water then Add it to a blender and blend briefly until smooth.
  • Add lemon juice, tahini, garlic, and salt to the blender. Blend again until combined.
  • Gradually add 2–3 tablespoons of ice cold water to reach your preferred creamy texture.
  • top with paprika, cumin, veggies and pickles then a drizzle of Afia Extra Virgin Olive Oil and serve.
