450g frozen French fries, thawed 1 Tablespoons Afia Sunflower oil (Extra for coating) 133g plus 1 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese 2 Tablespoons flour 1 Teaspoons Afia Garlic powder 1 Teaspoons Onion powder 1 Teaspoons dried Oregano ½ Teaspoons Salt 1 clove Garlic, minced 2 Tablespoons fresh Thyme
How to prepare
Preheat the oven to 220 c. Grease a baking sheet with oil.
In a food processor, pulse the potatoes until finely chopped then add olive oil, flour, onion powder, 1 cup parmesan, garlic powder, oregano and salt Mix until well combined.
Scoop 1 tbsp of the potatoes out and pack it together with your hands until it holds a ball, then form into a cylinder and place on the prepared baking sheet.
Repeat with the remaining mix.
Brush each tot with generous amount of oil.
Transfer to the oven and bake 10-12 minutes, then Flip once to the uncooked side, bake 10-12 minutes, until golden and crisp.
In a small bowl, combine 1-2 tbsp parmesan, garlic, and thyme.
Sprinkle the warm tots with the parmesan mix and serve.
